Clothing Drive Fundraising Program

One of the newest programs at Seconds Wholesale is our clothing drive fundraising program in Orillia. Our goal with this program is to help churches to be able to fund their programs easily and efficiently—all through the use of those old clothes you've got shoved into the back of your closet or up in the attic. Right now we have just seven churches participating in this program, but with your help, we can expand that listing.

Here's how it all works. Our program helps churches collect clothes for their clothing banks, as well as for thrift stores. Participating churches are able to generate revenue to cover their programs through this clothing drive. At Seconds Wholesale, we simply want to help. We want to help the environment by ensuring that clothing and other reusable items don't just get tossed out to the land fill.

eWaste / Electronic Recycling and Metal Recycling

What should you do with that old piece of electronics? Recycle it, of course! The Minister of the Environment has created the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment program to ensure that old electronics are handled properly when they reach the end of their lives. Unfortunately right now the majority of these old items are not being handled properly, which results in some hazardous materials ending up in our environment. These same hazardous materials do no harm while these electronics are working in regular daily use, but they can cause serious damage to the environment if they aren’t handled properly when you’re finished with them.

This is where our eWaste, electronic, and metal recycling in Orillia program comes in. We take all of these old electronics and direct them to a process facility approved by the Ontario Electronic Stewardship so that they can be recycled safely.

We also accept used and scrap metals, including the white metal you see commonly on old appliances. Contact us to learn more about eWaste / Electronics Recycling program today.
